Welcome Back & Happy New Year!
I hope everyone has had a very good holiday season and is excited about 2008! In numerology, 2008 equals a 1 energy and is a terrific year for manifesting the things we want to bring into our lives. LAW OF ATTRACTION does work and I very much recommend that you write down, paint, draw, meditate on, or sing about all the things you want. Using creative energies will lend to the energy waves started on the level of thought and will help bring you your desires more quickly.
I can lend testimony to this, myself. This year, a good friend of mine gave me a "quote a day" calendar using ideals and ideas accessed from "The Secret". Each day I have a wonderful new and positive concept to focus my thoughts on. In addition to that, I have been meditating and putting my "wish thoughts" out to the universe. Also, based on astrology, numeralogy, and Wiccan traditions, the 16th of this month is a power day for me and ,knowing this ahead of time, I have been planning to utilize the time around the 16th to manifest what I want. Of course, thoughts have not been the only energies I've made use of... I've also been enjoying myself and doing all manner of creative things that leave me feeling very happy, sending an "attitude of gratitude" out to the Universe. And guess what? Not only did I suddenly start receiving phone calls from all manner of clients for appointments (bringing me financial happiness, opportunities to envelope myself in my work, opportunities to assist others, surround me with creative and open minded people, and even a good looking guy for potential future flirting and/or dates... all things I wished for and more) but my schedule for the date of the 16th filled up and a plethera of appointments were also being made for many, many dates leading up to and following the 16th, all IN ADDITION to my regular work and opportunities. How happy am I !?! Wow! And you better believe I'm still working with Law Of Attraction so that I can access even more of what I want.
This is definately something that anyone and everyone can do for themselves, too! January is also a 1 energy and a good time for initiating our goals. More than making New Year's Resolutions (which are often quickly left by the wayside, even if well intentioned), how about actually visualizing what you want 2008 to look like for you.
HOMEWORK...
Happily allow yourself to daydream about the kinds of things you would like to have continue or to show up in your life during 2008. Don't edit, just feel good for a little while. Then, write these things down. Make lists of the things that would make you feel good in the categories of: FANTASIES (things and situations you don't really think you have a hope in hell of getting, but would be really fantastic if you did); DESIRES (things and situations that call to your core self and may even help you to be your ideal person); and GOALS (everyday things and situations that you probably can achieve if you come up with a plan). You can do whatever you want with these lists, now, to send those energies out to the Universe. (You've already made a great start just at this level and will see at least some results.) To speed up the vibrations of these energies and make them more powerful you can try creating them artisticly (paint yourself as someone receiving these things), burn or bury them (allowing nature to help jump-start the changes for you), or even just put them away so that you can pull them out next year and see what has come to fruition. Perhaps you can think of another option. Whatever your choices, FEEL GOOD AND HAPPY about them! The feelings are what really send your vibrations flying! Enjoy the process and know that I and others are wishing you the best for 2008 and beyond.

A Little About Reiki Healing...
WHAT IS REIKI HEALING?
An Eastern healing technique used to allow the human body (as well as animals and plants) to "heal itself" by gently removing blockages through the use of energy channeling and guidance. By accessing this unlimited "Universal Energy" or the "Reiki Ray", a practitioner can assist a client to re-focus and bring about natural balance of the body and spirit (which also includes mind and emotion).
HOW CAN REIKI HELP ME?
It works in a similar way to when human bodies can naturally heal a cut on our hand... if only the wound can be cleaned and provided with the appropriate energies (air, protective barrier, nutrients). When we have other wounds or dis-eases of the body or soul, we need to do what we can to promote optimum advantages for this self-healing. Reiki can "clean away" what prevents us from healing, sets up protective energies, and directs the wonderful, unlimited Universal Energy to provide healing as needed.
WHAT DOES REIKI NOT DO?
I t does not replace the appropriate care of certified doctors and healthcare practitioners, nor the treatments that these professionals provide. Reiki is a wonderful tool that can be used in a complimentary manner along with convetional healing practices from qualified practitioners. It should not be used to the exclusion of common sense.
HOW DO PRACTITIONERS DECIDE ON FEES?
Fees are a necessary tool to help assure the practitioner is not wasting their time and effort with clients who are not really ready to heal... not many people wish to throw money away on something they don't believe in or don't believe they can use. A fee is also a means that can be used for the client to show appreciation to the practitioner for what they are offering, as clients participate in an ENERGY EXCHANGE (a responsibility of both client and practitioner according to Reiki principals... money exchanged for services is a type of energy exchange). Many practitioners are quite comfortable in bartering for services, rather than always using money, as this is also a type of energy exchange. Fees are set by each practitioner, based on their experience level, amount of time spent with clients, local norms, or even what may come to them during meditation. The regular income of each client can be a factor as well, as people earning a highter income could show appreciation in a different way thatn could a client of lower or no income. Reiki healing is for all those truly wishing to balance all levels of their health, regardless of any social status or income level or level of capability. Researching the various fees of different practitioners is probably a good idea.

With heartfelt THANKs...
Would just like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to all those who participated in the Trent Radio Show "Divining The Divine" on November 3. Lucille Dawkins was a fantastic co-host and really saved my butt when I momentarily lost my notes (there's a lot more going on in a sound booth than you might think and it can get a bit confusing), not to mention her willingness to share her wisdom, expert insights and wonderful personality.
