A New Year, A New You!
After the holidays, it's natural to feel as though we need some recovering and, perhaps, to even work off some of those delicious holiday treats we indulged in. With the new year starting, too, many enjoy the idea of moving into a lifestyle change, whether long-term or as a tune-up. At any time, having goals to work toward can be beneficial in keeping us on track with our life path and the things that help us to get the most out of our days.
Normally I offer workshops teaching clients methods for working with Law Of Attraction and Goal Setting, such as with VISION BOARDS, WISH BOXES, and PRAYER BEADS (using mantras). This year, however, we are all dealing with this world-wide covid situation, and that makes it a bit of a challenge to get together. It can be a lot of fun to get out the craft supplies with your friends and family, sip some beverages, have some treats, and learn about these techniques for achieving goals and flowing with our best selves. If not at an in-person workshop, then how can we do this?
Sooooo.... since we all can use some well-wishes in getting through this strange time and since I want my clients and community to find ease and beauty in their days, I decided that this year I would freely share some tips and handouts on using these techniques in ways that you can make use of them at home rather than coming in for a workshop. While I am limited with how much I can offer online in comparison to in-person events, these points will give you the basics and more to get you started and have fun. Suitable for adults, teens, and kiddos (with parents' guidance). Find, below, some of the basics and some links to downloadable handouts to help you on your way.
VISION BOARDS

Grab some old magazines, scissors, glue, markers, and a good hot cuppa and get yourself ready for some fun. Dream the dream and imagine what your new year can potentially look like. What do you want to bring into your life? Who do you want to be? Whether you think you can have it, become it, or not, this enjoyable exercise adds some wonderful energy to your "Me Time" and aids in helping to bring you into flow with your best self... often with wonderfully exciting results!

Whether you are a believer in planning or in entrusting to a Higher Being, this fun activity allows you to get clear on what you want. This one is really fun for kids, but I have my own wish boxes too, and I've done this in groups of adults. Containers can be any type you like, and the fun is in not only making the wishes, but also in the decorating of your container. Make this one your own, and parents can guide their child on family-held beliefs that are comfortable.
The Gist --- The idea of a wish box is to create a safe place to store all of your wishes. Whether you treat this as a psychological exercise or as a way to "pray" your dreams to a Higher Being, this fun activity allows you to get clear on what you want (or for parents to better understand what's going on inside of their kiddos). PRAYER BEADS

The Gist --- Whether you are religious, spiritual, or agnostic, prayer beads offer a lovely way to sit for a moment (or a good long time) to be with your thoughts and focus on moving into flow with your best self.
