Reiki Healing
Reiki is a Japanese healing modality developed by Dr. Mikao Usui. Pronounced "Ray-kee". Teachings are handed down from master to student. It is the channelling of ki (chi / life force) allowing it to flow throughout the body and energy systems. In turn, it often puts the body into the state of rest achieved by deep sleep, therefore allowing itself to heal more easily. Often used for relaxation, health improvement, spiritual alignment, mental focus, emotional centredness, increasing intuitive sensitivity, and more. Practical and theoretical Reiki has continued to evolve in time and now includes various branches to the original teachings. In Canada, our governing body is the Canadian Reiki Association, and reiki is now included with many spa and healing services, at some veterinary clinics, and covered by more and more insurance companies.
As of July 2022, I am no longer accepting clients into my home for reiki treatments or other services. Reiki is still being offered, free of charge, through the following methods:

What is Focused Distance Healing?
This is reiki that is practiced when the body in which is being offered the channelling of ki is not physically in the room but rather at another location. Most clients prefer in-person sessions as the practice is very relaxing and the attention feels like a spa treatment, however, reiki continues to work even when done at a distance. When requested for either people or their pets, I am happy to do a distance healing session at no charge.
What is a Reiki Grid?
In simplified terms, it combines the practice of reiki and prayer, entrusting the betterment of people, animals, the world, etc. into the hands of what is considered to be a higher source, such as God, Goddess, The Great Creator, Mother Nature, and so forth. It is a tool set up by practitioners similar to the ceremonial alters of many religions and spiritual groups. Reiki grids are used as a point of focus where names and intentions are added, often written on pieces of paper, and may also include symbols, crystals, and more. Types of similar spiritual paraphernalia in other traditions might be books for prayer requests, prayer trees, and so forth, that are then focused upon, directing the Light of the Divine upon it and through it. When requested for either people or their pets, I am happy to add names to my reiki grid for healing and prayer at no charge.
