Not only for tea party lovers, but also for history buffs!

Please note:  there has been a slight change to the event.  Unfortunately, the lovely Judy Delaney, "The Tarot Lady" will not be able to join us due to a conflict of scheduling.  In her place, however, the very talented Susanne Bradshaw, "Palmist", has agreed to take time out of her busy schedule to fill in and help add some fun to the afternoon.

Join us for a lovely day of tea & nibblies at the beautiful, historic Winston's Inn.  There will be seating in the dining room, the lounge, and on the sundeck.  For those wishing to bring their lawnchairs, there are also the picturesque grounds to sit out in and enjoy....  birdsong in variety and vistas of the nearby pond.  A glorious spot to get together with friends and make some new ones.

May Day (May 1st) has been known throughout the ages as the beginning of the year, when spring plants are sprouting their little heads above soil and buds are showing themselves on trees and bushes.  It is a time for celebration, renewal and togetherness.  Love is in the air and babies are on the way!

* Meet the ladies for tea, or even better, throw an impromptu party at your place, offering little posies from your local flower shop, or individual place settings that are pretty!

* Plant some seeds, get some clippings started, clean up your flowerbed, or place some pots of Spring Bulbs on either side of your front door to greet company!

* Send a "Happy May Day" message on Facebook!

* Print off your horoscope, focus on the good stuff, and make plans!

The Psychic Fair...

A heart-felt "Thanks" and "Congratulations" go out to ALL who participated in the April 5th Psychic Fair facilitated by The Peterborough Spiritualist Centre at the Peterborough Lions Community Centre.

In addition to our Psychic/Mediumship Readers, we also had vendors, a silent auction, and a bake sale. The event was a huge success! We not only made great efforts for community outreach through our Readings, but we also raised more than an amazing $1300 for the Centre! It is anticipated that, at some point, we may need to grow our Psychic Fairs as we are so in-demand!

Donations literally piled up for our Bake Sale & our Silent Auction, and our Donors are SO appreciated. Our Volunteers for the day... Joanne O'Donoghue, Jennifer Fullbrook, Sylvia Higgs, Dee Dwars, Melanie Sexsmith, and myself, gave it our all and had fun to boot! These events cannot happen without the contributions of our volunteers & they all deserve hugs! Our vendors helped to make the day exciting and keep the energy fresh. Our Readers were the big draw and their talents helped a great many people. Pats on the back go 'round to ALL for a good job done.

Our next Psychic Fair will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2014, 1-4pm at the Lions Community Centre. Remember to watch the Peterborough This Week newspaper that week for the ad coupons to save you money on admission. If you are interested in being one of our Readers or Vendors, or to help out as a volunteer, please give me a call. Readers and Vendors will be accepted on a first-come-first-accepted basis and there are limited spaces available.

Thank you so much to Cathy Rowland and Judith Graham, of the Kawartha Artists Gallery & Studio, for joining me on my final broadcast of the season on Trent Radio! Topic of the day was "Painting your Spring" when we discussed the importance of allowing your creativity to bloom, to feel inspired, and to inspire others. It was a lovely show with lovely women... the perfect season finale!
