Retrogrades do not need to be about doom and gloom. They are all about SPIRAL teachings... going back. They are the perfect time to readdress older energies from our pasts. The sign that a retrograde is taking place in is also a contributing factor. This month, we have a Mercury Retrograde and it is taking place in Virgo. (If you wish to take it even further, you can work out which house Virgo is to you, personally, and this house will act as a contributor as well.)
In general, Virgo represents what we might call "Clean Living", such as volunteer work, exercise, dieting, paid work that holds meaning to us, etc. It can also represent getting organised, capabilities with thinking things through, and trust.
Mercury is about communications and "cogs in wheels". While it is retrograding in this sign, it means that we have wonderful opportunities to "go back" to our past efforts with volunteer work, our people we have previously had in our lives, etc., and re-establish positive communications.
It's okay to let go of some of those concerns about what has taken place in the past and what ways a Mercury Retrograde might mess us up... no need to hide away at home with the phone turned off. Instead, try taking back your power, offer some kind words, and help yourself and others to feel better. Take the opportunity to create the positive world you wish to live in!
