May 1st --- Beltane (May Day)
Beltane is an ancient celebration that honours the warming months and the creation of Life. It marks the mid-way point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice and many cultures will hold their equivalent celebrations as it is a date marked by Nature and the stars, which are shared by All and not only held to by the religious. It is a time of joy that the Sun is now with us for much longer lengths of the day, joy that the green plants are beginning to show, joy that mating season is now under way.... it's a time to CREATE our world!
