In memory of my beloved little witchy kitty,
Baz Home,
who just recently joined the world of Spirit,
I wanted to share with all of you my happiness at having had the supreme honour of spending 19 years with such a magnificent soul. She was, without question, an absolutely marvelous being.

Gifted in psychic and healing abilities; beautiful; intelligent; loving; humorous; feisty when appropriate, a docile fuzzball most of the time; active to the end; ...she even smelled good when I'd nuzzle my face into the side of her neck.

I couldn't even guess at how often she would intuitively know when energy work was being performed in another room --- she would come trotting out and would always want to help or at least hold space. Her eyes always told stories of having lived many lifetimes and of the great wisdom and knowledge she must hold. I know that she is moving on to do important work, while still checking in on myself and others, of course.

She was well loved by my many friends, relatives and clients, many of whom would often ask after her and some of whom have been kind enough to send sympathy cards and telephone messages of well wishes. I miss her so much but feel such gratitude for our bond and her continued love.

The laughter and smiles, too, I am grateful for... the many times she'd proven just how magnificent she was...
such as the countless times she would manage to break into the cat food cupboard though I had tried 3 different locks to keep her out and though I never discovered how this little cat thief was pulling it off as she would perform the trick when I wasn't looking (and would stop mid-attempt as soon as I would peek to try to watch)...
and such as the first day we got her as a teeny-tiny 6 week kitten ( runt of the litter) and she would keep our large dog, Worf, on his toes with stealth swats and hasty retreats...
how she would find the one itty-bitty scrap of paper on a wide expanse of clear floor and decide that it was absolutely necessary to sit on it for awhile...?why... no idea, but obviously important...
the tilt of the head and the patient seat she would keep when her every instinct would urge her to hunt the lonely little bug making its way across the summer kitchen floor but her higher ascended soul would permit her to do no such thing...
the number of spots that were "hers" and, of course, it was understood by all (she decided to visit some of her older ones -- the spots she hadn't used in awhile -- on her final night on this plane, perceiving that it would be her final opportunity...
how she would telepathically let me know her thoughts and needs...
how she could be so soft and cuddly and caring with myself and my guests, but always at the ready to let any vet technician know that she would be loudly removing one of their limbs if they so dared to do whatever might displease her (I was always truly proud of the gumption of this little old lady -- well over 100 in human years -- and I always smiled and laughed to hear the threats coming from down the back hall of the office, following with a mental
"you go girl")...
so many, so many...

She was not my pet. She was my daughter, my child. My healing partner in love and light. She joined me in this life during June of 1992. She left me June of this year, 2011. Both Junes held the same types of 3 separate eclipses, which had not happened during the years between. My cosmic kitty, I know, had and still has far greater power, gifts and importance than even I am able to perceive... THIS, I have to trust in as I allow her to go forward, though I ache to do it. I smile at knowing how special her soul is and just how lucky I have been.

I offer this opportunity, to all of you who read this, to send out your well wishes and THANKS to Baz and to all the souls of animals, both living and in spirit, as they all make a difference to our world and the worlds beyond. Pay special attention to your animal companion for they are magical in their own right and take their life purposes seriously. Appreciate every moment.

HSI photo up-dates...

An up-date on the hand-prints image has been received. It has been further confirmed that there were actual hand prints on the wall tiles matching the image caught in the snapshot. Created by an etheric entity or actual human? The manager at the HS location feels that they may have been created by human hands (living) while someone leaned against the wall. This may certainly be the case. It is being recommended that the wall be wiped clean and to check back regularly to see if any other prints appear. There has been regularly reported paranormal activity in this particular room, but that does not rule out the human factor, of course.

The photo that mysteriously showed up on a digital camera during a day of psychic readings remains unexplainable.

The image above was taken during the same HSI as the hand prints, though in a different area of the building. Orbs show up frequently in photos due to any number of reasons, mostly dust and play of light, etc. Occasionally an orb that is unusual will show up and this will lead to questions about what has caused it. This orb in particular is remarkable in that it showed up on two different cameras during the same HSI! Same shape, same image, same colouring, etc. It contains the image of a woman's face, in the centre, staring off to the right. Or perhaps you may see something different? There was a reported female entity by one of the Energy Workers (psychics) who came along during the HSI. No confirmation has yet been received as to whether the two photos were taken in the same area of the building or if the face is recognized.

What Do These Look Like To You?

has been doing a little bit of experimenting with

HSI (Haunt Scene Investigation) & Spirit Photography!

The first image appeared on camera during attempts made at a local Psychic Readings Day. Snap shots were being taken, using a timer, immediatly before and after each reading session. Nothing much came of those attempts, however, between two sessions, while all parties had left the room and the camera had been turned off, this somehow manifested and was captured. No one else had access to the room; Time stamp confirmed; Camera had not been moved and was still shut off when participants returned to room; Image does not resemble anything in the room where the camera was set up. All efforts to rationally eliminate possible explanations have been made to no avail. While Heather cannot offer an answer as to what the image is or how it managed to appear on the camera (digital) she does offer it for you to enjoy pondering.

The second image was captured this past weekend at an overnight HSI. Heather had the honour of being invited to participate with a professional team, to share whatever her intuitive abilities might lend to the investigation, and to learn about what is involved with the technical aspects. The shot was taken in a washroom reported to have activity.

The large white reflection is definately that of the camera flash. What Heather finds interesting is the image to the right that appears to be a hand print. The print was not appearant to the naked eye but showed up on the camera. What do you think?

Names and groups associated with these attempts are, for now, being withheld until further permission might be obtained, but Heather wishes to send out sincere THANKS to those who offered her these fantastic opportuinities and skills advice.

Ode'min Giizis (Strawberry Moon Festival)

I, Heather Home of Light Worker Healing & Readings, wish to extend a very sincere miigwech (thank you) to our First Nations Peoples for the wonderful opportunity to enjoy this year's Ode'min Giizis. Not only did I have a wonderful time down at Del Crary Park, enjoying the afternoon checking out the dancing and music and the many different vendors (couldn't resist buying a beautiful hand drum stained in black walnut tie-dye style), but my most favourite part was the Sunrise Ceremony.

Yes, I actually managed to get myself out of bed just after 4 in the morning in order to make it to the park for 5 o'clock. This was my first Sunrise Ceremony and I can't tell you how excited I was to participate! First, just getting oneself up at that time of the day, when you're not used to it, is a very humbling experience. My body felt very heavy and relaxed and just not wanting to move. This, however, was not as important to my spirit as I recognised the rare opportunity I was getting to experience an event such as this. We took a vote and my spirit won out over my body. Up I got.

No breakfast. Just access some water to drink and clean with and wake myself up... then threw some clothes on and was ready to go. A quick phone call to a friend to see how the voting process went for her and if she was still up for this little adventure. She was. She picked me up and the morning was very quiet as we sat in her van for a short moment... then off to Timmy's for some green tea to take along and further encourage our bodies that, while out-voted, were at least still being paid some consideration.

With hot drinks in hand, it was a one-minute drive to Del Crary Park. Not hard to find the right place... at that time of moring it's the only spot with people moving around! Slinging the camp chairs in their carrying bags over our shoulders, we slowly walked through the dark, admiring some of the astounding boats moored at the arena and wondering what it would be like to not only still be sleeping but sleeping on a boat while gently being rocked by the waves.

Arriving at the North-East corner, there were two gentlemen gathering some wood from a stack and taking it to where the fire was to be built. The teaching is that men are the fire-keepers and women are the water-keepers. A few nods and quietly shared "good mornings", we were mostly left with our thoughts and a wondering of what to expect.

Quickly, we noticed the mosquitoes. Oh geez. Swarms of them. Yes I brought the bug spray and it got passed around but these little ones are persistant and it was not long before we were feeding them their breakfast, though we hadn't even had ours. No matter, more important things to focus on. The sky was beginning to show little smudges of electric blue between the clouds to the East.

We stood in a semi circle around the now glowing fire and we were so happy to be there. Our hosts were a couple and they shared with us information about the traditions associated with the Sunrise Ceremony. One of the fire-keepers brought around the sage smudge smoking and we, each in turn, cleansed as we continued to listen to our hosts. Next the tabacco was brought around and we were each instructed to hold it in our left hands as we contemplated our prayers and wishes, again, while continuing to listen. We each received our turn to offer the tabacco, with those prayers and wishes, to the fire and to see the smoke and embers rise into the air and out to THE GREAT SPIRIT.

Other late-comers trickled in throughout the ceremony. No matter how far along in the ceremony we were, each was offered the sage smudge and tabacco. A couple songs sung in Ojibwe accompanied to shakers. Our semi-circle nearly formed into a full circle as, by that time, there were early risers out for their morning walks and bike rides and we were a curious site to check out and, yes, even join. Here was our sun shining too. And mother mallards with their little ones. And a Great Blue Heron bringing us messages and smiles!

A copper cup was filled with water and brought around for us each to drink from... no concern about germs, of course, as we all knew there were important teachings being received and a rare type of sharing taking place that most of us will not get to experience at any other time. Then a lovely basket of strawberries were, too, passed around -- a lovely gift brought by a generous participant! Teachings with this as well. Lots of gratitude going on.

Then the Talking Feather was offered to each of us. We were encouraged to share what words we would. There were moments of laughter and moments of near-tears. Wishes for better health and joys about the little things. My turn. I shared that I was so grateful for the many firsts that have been offered to me by our First Nations sisters and brothers, including so many of the teachings that have stayed with me as eternal truths and a way of life. I shared that it was, that very day, my grandmother's 99th birthday and, since living far away, that I was not able to be with her but that this opportunity to be with community was helping me to feel connected. I was reminded of her journey, my mother's journey, my own journey. I shared my gratitude for such blessings. Miigwech.

Finally, another rare opportunity. Each person went around to greet and hug all others in the circle. Once around but greeted twice. How often in our society do we have physical contact with those we don't yet know? Okay, so some people were understandably a little shy, others, however, expressed such a genuine warmth and I was surprised to find out that many had really paid attention to my words during our sharing time as occassional little comments would be offered during the greetings. More humbling for the day. Warm glowing from inside.

I can honestly say that this was one of my favourite experiences to date. I hope that this festival will be continuing each year at the park and that the Sunrise Ceremony will always be included. I want to go again and again, if at all possible. Miigwech to all those who put so much into organizing and pulling off something as large as an event filling these four days. I believe the Procession should soon be making its way down George St., so I'd better finish this off and get myself out to the street so I don't miss anything.

Heather Home of Light Worker Healing & Readings is currently scheduled to offer guided meditations to the congregation of the Peterborough Spiritualist Centre during services on the following dates:

Services are currently being held on Sundays at 2pm - approx. 3:30 and are held in the rented hall, downstairs, at St. Andrews United Church on Rubidge St. (last church at the top of the hill). Other components of service are usually a guest speaker, a psychic / intuitive offering "Proof Of Survival" (messages from the other side to individuals in the congregation), Spiritual Healing (laying on of hands), hymns & prayer. Time generally changes to evenings once the weather gets warmer. At this point, the Centre's semi-annual Psychic & Wellness Day (mini psychic fair) will likely next take place on April 4, 2010 at the Peterborough Public Library, but check back for up-dated info later on. While Heather is not involved with the running of the Centre, you are welcome to call her directly to ask about the free services she offers on Sundays at the Centre, at 705-745-8815.

Check out these snaps of Mary McGillis' launch of her new book "Hector And The Little People". Mary is a Peterborough author, the organizer of the "Speakers From The Heart" lecture series, and is host of Trent Radio's "Mary Moments". Her special event was held last evening at Titles bookstore on George St, here in Peterborough, and was a huge success. The store was packed, the line-up to have the book signed was long, there was live music, tasty treats were enjoyed, prizes drawn, and a fairy flitted among all the smiling faces. Hector And The Little People is a mystical fantasy for young adults and you can still pick up your copy (limited # of author-signed copies) at Titles bookstore for $16.95.
